POST-SUMMARY-HERE

I am really excited about sharing this with everyone. I've been on the search for years to find Windows XP themes made by Microsoft. I've grown tired of the default Luna GUI (Graphic User Interface) that comes with Windows XP.

Many of you will know that before these themes where made available you where stuck with the standard Windows XP themes, and you cold only change the color of the theme. For example you could change it to silver.

If you wanted to install a theme made by a third party you would need to hack your uxtheme file, and this can result to things not working properly on your system. A hack is a work around and in my opinion should be avoided. The other option was to use a program such as Windows Blinds. That never appealed to me because it was a program that used system resources just to change the look and feel of the GUI. No thanks. Oh, and it costs money. I like free the best.

The good news is that I've searched around and found some great Unofficial / Official themes by Microsoft. They are unofficial in the sense that MS never intended to release them. Why? I'm not sure. And they are official in the sense that MS made them, and they are digitally signed by MS, and work in XP without hacking your system to make them work.

I found this information at www.howtogeek.com. So a big shout out to the Geek for his article. I'm not taking credit for this discovery, just adding an article to my site to spread the word. Check out the screen shots, and click on them for a larger image. At the end of the article there's a link to download all four. Four? There's only three right? I found another theme, and included it with the others for download. Thanks to everyone who has spread the word about these cool themes.

You can also watch my video at YouTube.com to see these themes in action. Go here.
